2nd Meeting Recap

Successful meeting, thanks to everyone who came!

We decided on La Vecchia Cucina in Santa Monica for Dine LA on Friday 7:30. We also figured out the ingredients needed for pumpkin appetizers: stuffed pumpkin and pumpkin soup. Please look up recipes for these items.

For this week's meeting, Jon made pasta with vodka tomato cream sauce. Nancyx2 brought onigiri with salmon and perilla seasoning. Candace brought peach cobbler. For drinks, Anthony made Tropical Orgasm. Jealous much? Recipes will be posted later.

2nd Meeting

There will be a meeting this Friday, October 1st, at 6:30 at Jon's apartment, 1041 Glendon Ave. E-mail us at foodatucla@gmail.com if you want to come (Max: 20 people).

Please bring some food. It will be another potluck!! Preferably food you cooked yourself with a recipe to go with it.

Bring some recipes that you think are interesting for the following:

Stuffed Pumpkin

Pumpkin Soup

Pumpkin Ravioli

Pumpkin Gnocchi

Pumpkin Soufflé (I bought ramekins!)

Pumpkin Cupcake

Meeting agenda:

Assign ingredients purchasing

Vote on a restaurant for DineLA week.

1st Meeting Recap

The first meeting was great! Thanks to everyone that showed up!

During the meeting, we discussed and voted on a theme for the next month! See the post Theme of the Month.

Thanks to Jon, Teressa, Nikki, Nancy H., Nancy T., Natalie, and Brian for brining delicious food to the meeting.

Teressa and Nikki made bitter melon, while Jon made Taiwanese style fried pork.

The two Nancys and Natalie brought over taro cake and assorted fruits.

The recipe for the Taiwanese style fried pork and bitter melon will be posted on the blog under the category recipes.
